Yeah, it's just a little drabblish thing I got in my head after reading scene of Fire & Water on aff. I couldn't resist. There's a little Zutara, but it's not really the point. R&R please

"What is that?" The question brought everyone out of their own thoughts, and onto the girl who had emerged from the woods.

Katara looked up at her brother sitting by Appa, and then to the object in her hands, then back at Sokka with an arched brow.

"It's a tunic. One usually wears it to clothe themselves."

"I know what it is!" he said, not appreciating her sarcasm. That was his job. "I meant, 'why do you have it?'"

A cackle coming from the youngest of their group diverted their attention. "Jesse Snoozles, even I didn't think you were that dumb." Toph smirked wickedly. "I can't even see and I noticed Hot Stuff doesn't have a shirt on." The nick-name wasn't even noticed anymore.

"Yeah. It kinda got tattered to shreds remember?" Aang asked him worriedly, thinking that the rock Momo dropped on his head earlier that morning might have caused damage.

He sighed in aggravation, thinking they were all idiots. "Yes! I remember. And I also remember us telling Katara to get one that will say Peasant not Prince!"

Katara looked back at the tunic in confusion. "How does this say Prince?"

"It's gold!!"

"So?"

"It's shiny!"

"It's a common color. There are a lot of people who wear gold."

"It screams 'Look at me! I'm a banished prince siding with the enemy of my nation. Strike me now'!"

"What!? It's not even made of the finest material. Nor does it have any intricate workings. It's pretty plain if you ask me"

"Exactly!" Sokka shouted as if it proved his point. Seeing the blank and dry looks he elaborated. "You could have easily gotten another less noticeable color. Green, brown, even red would work better! But no, you had to get something shiny." This only caused her to role her eyes.

"He's got a point you know." Iroh spoke up.

"So why did you get gold, Suger Queen?"

All but Toph noticed her eyes avert to the side and a slight stain of pink appear on her cheeks. The answer was soft. "It matches his eyes."

But she did pick up on the skip of a few heart beats within the following silence. She didn't need to sight to know that everyone had looks of surprise on their faces. Especially Zuko, who was probably blushing from the inadvertent compliment she gave him.

"What!?" Sokka shot onto his feet.

"It matches his eyes." The younger water sibling repeated with more strength.

The older looked at her incredulously. "It matches his evil, double crossing, backstabbing eyes!?"

Katara, as well as the apparently evil eyed firebender, glared at him. True, he never exactly hid his dislike for Zuko, but even that was pushing it.

She chose to ignore it, and instead continued over to Zuko, giving him the tunic before sitting down beside him.

Aang, being Aang, tried to calm down the older sibling. "You really should stop seeing things in black and white Sokka. He was evil for a good reason." The airbender spoke matter-of-factly, not really helping. "He's good now."

"You're right." Everyone looked up in shock. It couldn't be that easy.

"Cause there's also gold, that matches his eyes!"
