So Hi.

THIS HAS BEEN REWRITTEN, SO IF YOU ARE READING THIS AFTER ALL THE EDITS DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT, BUT IF YOU HAVE READ THE STORY BEFORE AND ARE COMING BACK TO IT I WOULD ADVISE READING IT AGAIN, AS THERE IS A SLIGHT PLOT CHANGE.

This is my first go at a divergent fanfiction, so it may take me a bit of time for me get completely comfortable when sitting down to write them. (I also am writing a vampire academy fanfiction as well so it may mean updates aren't as regular as some of the other story's... but i'll try my best.) I don't own anything you recognize. Anyway... The summery

"I don't get it, I just don't get how your heart can belong to him." Choosing Dauntless was not something the prior twins chose, but Evie and Tris had a funny way of being in sync. Everything seemed to be going fine, but when a young leader catches Evies eye it might just prove too difficult which side she is on. Fraction before blood... Blood before love. The rules that may just be her downfall.

THIS IS SET AFTER THE CHOOSING CEREMONY IN DIVERGENT, TRIS AND EVANGELINE HAD JUST JUMPED INTO THE DAUNTLESS TERRITORY.

Evangeline's POV.

The air was squashed completely out of me, my whole body thumped onto something... Which then pushed me upwards again. What the fu-; It was a net, I realised that I had jumped into. That guy made this whole fuss about jumping into a damn net. Nasty trick to play on your new recruits, first jump out of a moving train and then scare the shit out of us. Brilliant. I could of stayed laying on the net for a while longer, but more initiates where bound to come jumping after me, and seeming as I had missed almost certain death twice already today, I wasn't prepared to try my luck for the third time. Twisting awkwardly I made some motion to try and sit up- not the easiest thing to do in a net that worked similar to that of a trampoline- and I was soon greeted with some hands grabbing hold of my limbs pulling me out.

"Another stiff?" I turned to see who had pulled me out of the net, it was a dauntless girl who wasn't by the looks of it much older than me. Her comment wasn't so much mean but surprised. Abnegation transfers were the rarest.

"We're twins." I grunted back, not yet having all of the air back into my lungs. Falling into nets can really take it out of you. "Is she here?" Beatrice was nowhere to be seen. Not unusual as we were both lacking in height, but normally it wasn't hard for me to find her. Call it twin 6th sense or whatever.

"Never mind that. Name?" For the first time I turned to see who else was present. It was a guy, who like the girl shared the same dark brown. There were too many differences between the pair for them to be relatives, but it was strange how similar everyone that I had seen from dauntless thus far looked. Apparently my slight paused annoyed him. "Don't take forever." He snapped, looking up towards the net entrance where a yell of fear could be heard. Another initiate was coming. Deciding to go against my Abnegation preferred Evangeline. I quickly muttered the name "Evie" and at the dark haired guys nod allow myself be lead away.

"Evangeline!" Was shouted and before I could even work out who had called me, arms where slung around me. It was the smell of home that I had grown accustomed too that gave her away. The smell of a place that I had just given up.

"Beatrice." I hugged her close, glad that although everything had just changed, I had someone who I knew would stay by my side. Pulling back, I could see the same thought resonate in her eyes as well. We stuck together like glue, I remember Caleb complaining about it once. As we finally let go of each other and took a step back my sister shook her head.

"Its Tris, I wanted a change."

"Ah well, funny you should say that. I thought a change suited me as well. It's now Evie."

Twins had a funny way of doing that, or so I was told. Even when parted from each other, we still had come up with the same conclusion. Change is necessary.

As all the initiate that were brave enough to take the 'leap of faith' slowly joined us, the dauntless born and transfers were split into two groups. The guy who stood by the net welcoming (if you can call it that) us each into Dauntless become the instructor for the transfer. He declared his name as four. As in the number four (guessing he chose a new name as well) and after a quick tour led us to the eating area. I sat opposite to my sister, finding it hard to not stay by her side. I may have chose to be brave, but sometime it's a little hard to start off with. Four sat one side of Tris and Christina, a tall girl who we had met on the train sat the other. The food that was present before us wasn't anything I was used to, or aware of. Like me, Tris was cautious and we both reached for the meat the was sandwiched between two pieces of dome like bread. Seeing both of our confusion, Four nudged Tris with his elbow, and gives her a bowl with red sauce. "It's beef, put this on it." Following his guidance he did what he said, and then passed the sauce to me so I could as well. The flavour was far more extravagant than what I was used to, it was good. Really good, but after 16 years of plain food it took a little getting used to.

"You've never had a hamburger before?" Christian exclaimed from across the table, watching me and Tris with amusement. I shook my head but it is Tris who answers.

"No, is that what its called" Tris said.

"It beats chicken and peas." I replied back, swallowing another bite of my hamburger. Christina laughed, her head tilted as if she couldn't believe what me and were saying.

"Stiffs eat plain food." Four explained to Christina, clearly listening in to the conversation at hand. The frown of Christinas pretty face deepened.

"Why?"

"Extravagance is considered self-indulgent and unnecessary." I parroted, in perfect impression of my mother.

"No wonder you left." She smirked, I laughed lightly.

"Yeah" Tris muttered sarcastically rolling her eyes at her new friend. "It was all about the food." A moment of awkward silence followed the last comment. Eye contact was made between the three of us and the tension broke into laughter. Before anything else could be said, an eerie silence fell over the hall. Even Four who seemed perfectly relaxed, straighten up and looked slightly wary. I turned to see what caused the hall to silence. Turns out it was because of a young man entering the hall. He seemed to demand (and quite enjoy) the attention. Especially off the new initiates like us. He was quite a scary dude, his hair was long and dark and his face covered in plenty of piercing. He looked around at us all and it wasn't hard to miss how they carried a certain coldness, strange. I always found green eyes to be somewhat warm. Turning sharply back to the others so I wouldn't be caught staring after him I waited for the silence to be broken.

"Who's that." Christina hissed, shrugging at her we turned to Four, who look his eyes off the the guy to answer us quickly.

"His name is Eric. He is a dauntless leader." Christina's eyebrows rose, and clearly missing the annoyance in Fours voice that we were bothering him with questions carried on talking.

"Seriously? but he's so young." Four gave Christian a grave look, she was pissing him off slightly.

"Age doesn't matter here." There was something in the way he said it that suggested that there was a double meaning to that answer. Christina didn't pick up om that small detail, but judging by my sister face, she did. Silence slowly broke, and I let myself relax again. Too soon. Eric, the guy who had just scared a whole hall full of people came and sat beside me so he was opposite to Four. Shit. He doesn't say, or look over to us girls. Deciding that we weren't worth his time.

"Well, aren't you going to introduce me?" He said to Four, somewhat patronising our instructor. Four looks up and nodded to each of us individually.

"This is Christina and Tris and the one opposite is Evie." Eric looks at each of us in turn, his gaze stays a little longer on me. Little beads of sweat start to form an the base of my back. This was not good.

"Ooh, two stiffs. We'll see how long you last." He was mocking us. That was clear, I was used to being mocked. Being in Abnegation means you are brought up with people mocking how you live your life. The protocol is to keep your head down and mouth shut. I had done it hundred of time... so why I thought at this moment to break that rule I don't know.

"I dunno, perhaps we will surprise you." I mutter back, slightly relieved that it came out politer than what I thought it would, I wasn't known for having great control over my tone of voice. Christina and Tris start to look down at their food, both of them clearly thinking the same thing as I was... Idiot. Four stared down the table, his expression torn between impressed and surprise.

"I don't like surprises Stiff." He said, his voice dropping in pitch... as a warning me. Our eyes met and I knew if I wanted to survive the night it would be me who would have to drop my gaze first. Catching my breath in my throat I turn away from him, focusing back on my hamburger instead. He grunts, then swinging his lets over the bent stalks away, smirking at our table one last time before he dissolves into the crowd. It takes a while for me to gather my thoughts together, normally I was pretty sharp. But at this moment? Eric was different, he shook me... and that scared me more than anything I knew i was going to face. Especially as he was the leader of the faction I had just joined.

I thought I would only have trouble with the Candor asking too many questions, now I've got stiffs, too?" Four said coldly, the comment was directed at my sister. Clearly I had missed something. I was about to ask when Tris shot back a reply.

"It must be because you're so approachable. You know like a bed of nails." She said flatly, clearly she hadn't learnt from my mistake. It's probably not best to talk back to your superiors on your first day.

"Careful Tris." He says, standing up He turns his back on us and goes to join another table. Christina leans in closer to us, and smirk playing on her lips.

"I'm developing a theory."

"And that is?" Tris asks.

"You've both got death wishes."
