One Happy Memory. . .

Author's note: This is the very first fanfiction I ever wrote. It's just a sweet little ficlet. It was inspired by a piece of fanart in which Sirius is holding up baby Harry and looking completely shocked and afraid, Remus standing next to him, and James and Lily are laughing in the background.

It was a warm mid-August afternoon, just weeks after young Harry Potter was born. Lily and James had invited their dear friends Remus and Sirius over to meet the tiny wizard and have a relaxing cup of tea.

"Wow, Prongs, he looks just like you! Like a really tiny you anyway. 'Cept I can already tell he's much smarter." The ebony haired man smiled at his best friend with a playful glow to his eyes. Sirius laughed and took a cookie from the plate Lily was offering, stretching out to relax in his chair. Sirius Black was the epitome of what any man (or woman) would consider 'cool'. He usually wore tight fitting muggle jeans and a slightly dirty t-shirt smudged with motor oil. He drove an enchanted motorbike which was his pride and joy.

"I think it's the eyes that give him away. Definitely Lily's eyes." Remus smiled at the auburn haired woman who looked scarcely more than a girl. She absolutely glowed with happiness and Remus's heart filled with joy for his friends.

The baby began to coo and fuss. "Sounds like he needs changing again," Lily sighed and began to move toward the child when Sirius held up his hand.

"No Lily, you need your rest. I'm the boy's godfather. I'll do it."

Lily paused, a slight look of apprehension in her eyes. Remus and James shared a meaningful look and smiled as Remus decided he should follow his dark headed friend. This he had to see.

Sirius picked up the boy holding him at arms length as wailing screams filled the room. Sirius face was full of shock and fear as he whispered from the corner of his mouth, "Um, Moony, why is he making that noise??"

Remus chuckled as James and Lily who had been struggling to suppress their laughter exploded in unbridled mirth. Remus's hand gave the biker's shoulder an understanding squeeze. "It's alright, Padfoot. I'll take care of it."
