Even before Nico and Will had started going out, Will would always love to tease and flirt with Nico and would greatly enjoy watching the son of Hades turn bright red whenever this happened. Knowing Nico wasn't particularly comfortable in his own skin made Will all the more likely to tease him. Surprisingly, the boy could blush quite easily and it wasn't hard to tell with his pale complexion when he was embarrassed by Will's affections. Eventually though, Nico seemed to grow tired of it and was sometimes irritated by it. Today the son of Hades was sitting at his table even though lunch had long been over and dinner was still a few hours away. Will would always force him to eat a balanced meal and made him sit there until he had eaten every bite of it. Even though Nico could easily beat Will in a duel, he felt unusually compelled to please Will and found arguing about something like this was stupid. He had eaten most of his food and the only thing that sat on his plate was a banana. Nico had never been one for eating fruit since every type of fruit just made him think of pomegranates which made him think of either his step-mother or the bronze jar he'd been stuck in. Neither was a pleasant memory. He stared and stared at the banana before a rather, interesting, thought came to him. A slow smirk spread across his face as he picked it up and went off to find Will. Will was hanging out with Jason and the two seemed to be talking about something, most likely, him.
"Hey guys," Nico greeted them. Will and Jason turned, grinning at him.
"Well, well, well, did you finally finish eating?" Will laughed at him. Nico rolled his eyes while Jason smirked at the two, his blue eyes moving back and forth between them.
"Just gotta eat this," Nico replied quietly, showing them the banana. "Figured I'd save the best for last."
Will frowned, "I thought you hated fruit?"
Nico shrugged as unpeeled the yellow fruit, "Oh, bananas are ok sometimes." He locked eyes with the son of Apollo and slowly put a large section of the banana in his mouth, making sure Will could see his tongue touch it before he slowly bit down. He chewed and swallowed, his eyes not once leaving Will's. Though Jason was slightly red by Nico's actions, Will was red down to his throat.
"Do you like bananas Will?" Nico asked him after he'd taken another bite.
"I, I uh, I uhm, I've gotta go!" Will quickly spun around and ran off into another direction. Nico smirked, feeling proud of himself while Jason awkwardly left the scene.
Percy and Annabeth were canoeing when they saw Will jump off the dock with a face as red as a strawberry.
"What do you suppose that's about?" Annabeth asked Percy.
"Dunno, go ask Nico, maybe.." Percy replied.
"Why can't you ask Nico?"
"Because I'm not his type."
"…Shut up, Seaweed Brain."
