This is what could happen if Ratigan catches Fidget from attempting to escape from him, whether Fidget is a child or not. One-shot!
After catching Fidget from running away one night, Ratigan took him to his palace and tucked him into bed. In Fidget's room, deciding that "I hope you learned your lesson" was only going to tick Fidget off, especially if the rat said it three times or more and Fidget would've been prone to escape until he takes into consideration when caught by Ratigan's men, Ratigan said, in a sugary voice that he can ever so muster, "Do try to have a good night's sleep." It was his way of bluntly saying, "Be quiet, you little brat!"
The bat nodded sleepily and yawned.
Next, the evil rat also chose to speak gently in Fidget's favor as if singing a lullaby so that the young bat can fall asleep easily. That way, Fidget wouldn't suspect anything, escape or try to stop Ratigan as he did as he pleased.
All in all, Ratigan did what he could to keep Fidget happy, but not too happy.
…
At midnight, Fidget had to use the restroom. Ratigan caught him and asked in a stern voice, "Fidget, where do you think you're going in this time of night?"
"I have to go to the bathroom," Fidget said slowly, but not in a robotic way.
Ratigan let out an angry sigh until he thought about what this young lad had said. He might be telling the truth, he thought. "Alright, be off with you then."
The little bat felt relieved and headed for the bathroom. When finished, he was about to climb into bed when the wicked rat asked, "You didn't hear anything, did you?"
Fidget shook his head.
"Good boy," Ratigan said, "Now for goodness sake, go back to sleep."
Fidget scrambled onto his bed and went back to sleep, too sleepy to hear anything more. During sleep, he snored lightly in a cute and funny manner as usual. It didn't disturb anyone from their slumber for they were acquainted with it.
The End
AN: So, that's how Reyelene and I thought it would come out as and thanks to her, I kept both Ratigan and Fidget in character in this story.
"Be quiet you little brat" or "shut up" would've worked either way.
One more thing I forgot to mention is although Fidget was caught by Ratigan in his men did NOT mean he couldn't go outside to get fresh air, sunlight, play, or whatever.
