Ok, people, this is my first Sputchy up here, so be nice! Review!

DISCLAIMER- Sadly, I don't own Dutchy, Specs, or a motor scooter. -sulks-

I lean back against the hood of my aqua bug, staring up into the stormy sky and occasionally wiping off the glass of my specs as the slight drizzle spatters them. Sighing softly, I hop up and lay back, folding my arms behind my head as a bolt of lightening flashes off to my right, the sound of thunder following close after. The quiet buzz of a small motor fades in, and I tilt my head to see a familiar blonde whizzing up the street on his scooter. He skids to a stop beside my car, shooting me a part annoyed, part amused look as he slides on next to me, copying my stance.

"Hey." I nod in acknowledgement. "What'cha doin' out here? You're gonna get sick. Pneumonia, or the flu, or… something." He finishes, pouting slightly as I laugh. "It could happen." He defends sulkily, and I laugh again, pulling him closer to kiss his cheek.

"Of course it could, Alec, but I think I'll be fine."

"But-"

"And if I do get sick, you'll take care of me, right?" He pouts again, snuggling into my side slightly.

"I guess…"

"Then I don't have anything to worry about, hm?" He sighs, nodding, as he rests his head on my chest. I smile slightly, stroking his fine hair as his eyes drift shut behind his own glasses. We lay together in peacefully silence for a bit, until the rain starts coming down harder. Ducking into the back seat of my car, we huddle together for warmth as the storm rages around us.

"Sam?" I glance down at the boy in my arms, my eyes meeting his crystalline blue ones.

"Hm?" He nestles into my chest, sighing softly.

"Why do you love me?" I blink, caught slightly off guard by the question.

"Well…" I contemplate for a moment. "You've always been there for me, no matter what happens. Like when I first came out, you were the first to know and the first to accept it. Whenever someone would bother me, you'd back me up." A small smile curls across my face briefly. "And when you came out right after, further supporting me… I never thanked you for any of that." I realize, glancing down at him quickly to see him gazing up at me lovingly.

"You did, by taking me when you could have had anyone." I smile slowly, kissing his forehead.

"Not formally, then. So thank you. For everything." He grins, nodding as he rests his head against my chest. A minute or two later, he glances back up at me.

"D'ya wanna know why I love you?" The corner of my mouth quirks slightly in amusement, and I nod. "You're so kind, caring. It's always about what'll make someone else happy, even if it's not the best for you. When my dad-" He paused to clear his throat slightly here, averting his eyes briefly. "When my dad kicked me out, you offered a place to stay and warmth to comfort me." His head falls back to my chest lightly, and I hold him closer, knowing how hard a time it was for him.

"Well, love, what was I supposed to do? Let you stay on the streets or go to the shelter?" I wave it off. "I think not!" He laughs.

"And you always try make me feel better when I'm down." He kisses me lightly. "Thank you, Specs." I grin, kissing him back briefly.

"How bout we call it even, Dutchy?" He grins back as he nods before our lips meet again sweetly.

Well, that's it. Please review!
