Preface
The rumbling snarl of the monstrous animal in front of me seemed to make the ground rumble like a miniature earth quake as he stalked towards me, pure hate glinting in his coal black eyes, his lips curled over his razor sharp teeth that were used for killing his worst enemy – the vampire.
A werewolf. I was standing in front of an animal that was as large as a horse with muscles that rippled with every step that he took around me. Some people would be absolutely horrified and would either faint or run at any chance they could – like they could out run a werewolf. I on the other hand, just grinned.
"You won't hurt me, Paul." I said softly, never letting my eyes leave the animal in front of me. I heard snarls, whimpers, and growls of anger and horror towards me from the other members of his pack.
"For god's sake, stop it Paul!"
My head slightly turned to the new voice, and from the first work spoken, I instantly knew who it was. Jacob Black. My soul, my best friend, my one true love, and the path between him and I blocked between the largest wolf in the pack, Sam. Bella just looked on in complete horror.
That's when everything changed. Paul jumped at me and my eyes flashed silver.
"Good by to everything you know, my love."
