An updated version of the previous drabble, though this one is much better and shows him in the way I has always intended.
His features were strong and sharp yet his eyes were swimming in unspoken fear.
His slouched shoulders were shaking from the great amount of emotions he was restraining. His hands clenched his robes so tightly to anchor himself to the spot to prevent the pain from consuming him. When he looked up the moonlight caught his pale blue eyes and my breath caught, it was so painfully beautiful I couldn't speak. A single tear rolled down a hollowed cheek betraying the fragile control he had over his emotions. The misery and the fear that swam in the depths of his irises would haunt me from that day forward. He was drowning in the things he dared not speak because he had too much to lose if he even uttered a single syllable. After a few quiet yet unmistakable painful moments a mask fell upon his face once more and the moment was broken.
But if I looked close enough I could just see the edges of misery etched in his pale face.
A misery that could drown him one day.
Your thoughts and opinions are always welcome.
Thanks for reading.
