He came from no where. No one, not even Andros, had known who he was. Calling himself the new King of Evil, he had taken a small group of ships and had literally blown Earth up. It was only due to an insane stroke of luck and spying that had given them any type of warning.

Earth,( more specifically, the United States, Japan, and Russia) had created a small fleet of ships, 13 in all, equipped with Ranger teleporting technology in case of an extinction level attack. The plan was to just pick and choose people since trying to hunt down doctors, scientists, lawyers, etc. would take too long. Andros had put in a special code so that if the evacuation program was initiated, all rangers and certain allies would be among the first teleported up.

In the ensuing destruction, eight of the ships had blown up from the energy wave, killing over half the former rangers and over 1,600 civilians, including the President of the United States, the Queen and Crown Prince of England, and the Prime Minister of France.

Now, the remaining 1,000 survivors were drifting in space, waiting and hoping one of their allies would respond to the SOS they had sent out. The Rangers had taken control of the ships, much to the various militaries annoyance. Andros had sent a communication wide announcement through the five ships that since ranger technology had saved them the rangers were in charge; especially since only rangers were supposed to have ranger technology and installing the program onto the ships broke over two dozen galactic laws. He also told the survivors that they'd had literally a few hours warning before the destruction and had done all they could.

Andros had named the groups in charge of each ship and said if anything happened, dire consequences would ensue. Out of the rangers on each ship, only one person would have complete control in all decisions. On the Triceratops, it was Billy Cranston; the White Tiger was Tanya Sloan; the Ape was Rocky DeSantos; the Frog was Adam Park; and the Pterodactyl was Kimberly Hart. Andros himself was Fleet Commander, the one the five rangers answered to.

The only ship that had problems turned out to be the Pterodactyl, where Eric Myers ad argued that he should be in charge since he had more "experience." The other rangers and allies on the ship, Conner McKnight, RJ Finn, Merrick Baliton, and Clare had been told to stay out of it by Kimberly, even though they all supported her rather than Eric. It had gotten so bad that Andros had morphed and went over on his Galaxy Glider to yell at Eric in person. He'd told the former Quantum Ranger that the decision hadn't actually been made by him, but were orders made by the deceased Tommy Oliver. Kimberly was the only ranger on the Pterodactyl who had ever dealt with alien cultures and governments before and if Eric didn't like it, he'd be thrown in the brig until they reached Aquitar. Eric, sullen, had finally sucked it up and agreed to follow Kimberly's orders.
