It was raining; which was rather appropriate, considering the circumstances. Lars observed his surroundings. All around him, the soldiers, exhausted and wounded from battle though they were, were openly weeping for the fallen Prince Liam.

"He was a great man." Lars heard a soldier next to him murmur. Lars hesitated a moment, then slowly approached Genn Greymane, Indomitable King of Gilneas, who was knelt over his son's body, tears visible on his face.

"Um, Your Majesty?" Lars asked, feeling a bit awkward for having interrupted the king in his grief. The king looked up, rage briefly crossing his features at being interrupted before he recognized Lars. "What is it Lars? I hope it's important enough to merit you interrupting me." Lars hesitated a moment, scuffing his feet against the cobblestones. "Well, it's just… I recently learned the spell Revive, so if you want, I could just…" He gestured vaguely towards Liam.

Genn stared at him blankly for a moment, then slammed his palm into his face. "By the Light, I'm such an absolute idiot." He groaned. "I completely forgot that you druids could do that. Yes, by all means, go ahead." Lars nodded, and silently cast the spell.

Approximately five seconds later, Liam coughed, blinked, and opened his eyes. "Light, what happened? I feel like death warmed over." Lars laughed a bit at his choice of phrase. "Well Your Highness, that's not exactly an inappropriate comparison."
