A soft melody flows throughout the whole house, as I play a simple elegant song on the piano. I have loved playing the piano ever since I was a young child. Which wasn't that long ago considering the fact that I don't look the age I should be? I stand up from the piano, and look around the empty house, I'm starving. I should be out hunting with the rest, but no, I have to stay here because Grandpa Carlise thinks I should be eating more human food, then blood. Personally I think he's wrong, blood taste so good, and warm. Unlike human food, it's very repulsing. I walk over into the leaving room and pick up my favorite book, Wuthering Heights.
I feel asleep and could hear my family about 5 miles away. About a minute later I hear them come through the door, and I could tell Aunt Rose was coming towards me. She grabs the book from my hand and I open my eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry Nessie, sweetie. Did I wake you?" I smile at her and shake my head no, "No, I was already awake." I sit up and stretch my arms and yawn. Aunt Rose set the book on the table next to the couch, "Have you ate yet hun?" I scrunch my nose, "No, I don't believe I should have to eat human food. It's very repulsing." She smiled at me and kissed the top of my head, "I will go have grandma Esme go make you something." I sighed and fell back on the couch.
My mother came into the room and sat right next to me, she smiled. "Hi mom." "Hello sweet heart." She hugged me. She smelled like dog, more specifically Jacob, my best friend. "I thought you went hunting?" I questioned her. "Well, I wasn't very hungry, and I had to talk to Jacob." I looked at her questionably for a minute. "Why?" She closed her eyes, and then looked at me. "No reason that should concern you, but after you eat I need you home, Your father and I need to talk to you about something." She got up kissed my cheek, then left. I could tell she wasn't telling me the whole truth, and what was so important that she couldn't just tell me right now? I could smell steak being made in the kitchen; I scrunched my nose and got up to eat. But I couldn't stop thinking about what was so darn important.
