A single tear ran aimlessly down my cheek and into the growing darkness that was consuming me. Voices screamed inside my head, making it throb. I dropped the tainted knife to clutch my head, the pain increasing ten fold. My blood covered hands stained my hair, making it even more red.
I felt dirty, and suddenly wanted to scream out. I wanted it to be over, I wanted it to end.
In that moment, that one instant, changed my life forever and lead me to where I am today. It was the path I chose, the path that was had been mapped out for me like a jigsaw puzzle. So here I am now, alone in a world of darkness, when my destiny chose to reveal itself.
