Author's Note: While listening to "Smother Me" by the Used (and it was like 2 seconds into the song) I had a strokeā¦OF GENIUS! Okay well not really but I thought I would write a nice little one shot. Of course I love writing in Axel's POV, so why the hell not?
Disclaimer: Do I really need this anymore? I mean does it look like I own Kingdom Hearts?
It was dark, not just outside but inside. The feeling of emptiness was still there, even as he dreamed, but nothingness can't dream, so he banished dreaming like a rag. He tried to smother himself, he really did, anything was better than being alone and lying to himself. The emotions that he pretended to have, they weren't there, and Kingdom Hearts wasn't going to help either.
The day that the blond joined the Organization he scoffed at the blank face. How a kid could be labeled as the "Key of Destiny?" when he could hardly speak more than two words was a mystery that Axel wasn't pretending happy being curious about.
Roxas caused the majority of the castle to go into a tizzy. With the Organization now at its full XIII they could start with the workings of gaining Kingdom Hearts. The nothings within the castle, in some form of pretended emotion, all seemed happy.
He didn't like the thought of Roxas actually not having emotions, or at least not pretending to have emotion. Always a blank slate, the only thing that had colour was his eyes. They were a deep blue that made Axel make believe emotions go sky rocketing. Why was he the only one with the gift of actually being a Nobody with no emotions? While everyone else pretended, he was too busy being blank. Nothing. Just like a Nobody should be.
Axel would have none of it. If everyone else had to pretend to have emotions so would Roxas. He started hanging around the blond more. They would conveniently show up in the same place at the same time. Roxas didn't seem to notice.
Axel found this infuriating. How could he get Roxas to actually pretend? He should pretend, not for himself but for the sake of Axel. His empty face was driving the redhead mad. So instead of trying for emotions he would try for passion.
The first time he kissed Roxas a flitter of surprise flashed across his face before it was gone. Axel only smiled and walked away, feeling somewhat better and for once since the blond had arrived, had a good night's sleep.
The next time was after a mission. He and Roxas had a simple reconnaissance task, but it had gotten bad and they had to fight their way out. While Axel and Roxas were badly battered Axel was the only one who seemed to care about his non bleeding wounds. Roxas walked around as if it didn't matter.
After they both healed Axel dragged the blond into his room and shoved his tongue down his throat. Roxas still didn't react. The hair on the back of Axel neck rose and his fury was swelling at an alarming rate. Why wouldn't he show pretend emotion? He kissed him again, which escalated to pushing into the bed, which then turned into both parties without clothing. Axel was able to make a flurry of emotion fly across Roxas face. Axel was able to make Roxas come four times that night.
When he awoke Roxas was still in his bed, sleeping. Axel tried to get out of bed without waking the other, though that proved to be a difficult task.
Axel sighed. Roxas was more now, because Axel was pretending not to want the blond, and when he did his nonexistent heart would beat so fast he thinks he would throw up.
It was Roxas's fault.
