Unrequited Love
When we first met, I knew I was in love.
I would smile when I thought of you,
And weep when we were apart.
I would think of you every waking moment,
and I would dream of us when asleep.
I did not live until that day.
In my mind we were the perfect couple.
I pictured us laughing,
Kissing happily,
And sharing our deepest fears...to lose each other.
But now I know,
That it was all in my mind.
I know I was talking to myself and not to you.
I know this because I see her.
You love her.
Eru knows she deserves you far more than I.
Still I want you to know,
How much I'll always care,
And all you have to do is ask then I'll be there;
But this was merely unrequited love.
