He's just a kid. Blinkus Galadrigal thought to himself as he peered through the window. He watched the boy mix ingredients, humming to a foreign tune. Not just a child, but a human one at that. Troll children were taught self protection from birth. This fleshling appeared as though he wouldn't be able to hold off a single goblin.

Blinks and Arrrrghh's introduction hadn't been well received. The terror in his eyes was evident throughout the entire conversation. While Master Jim had proven his proficiency for rule number one, which Blinkus firmly believed was the most important rule of all, he couldn't help but wonder how they would manage to bring the boy to the Hero's Forge. They'd never had a human troll hunter before. He imagined piecing the boy back together would be a rather messy ordeal.

Master Jim had proven himself since then, there was no doubt about that. The young hero had protected Hearthstone Troll Market more times than Blinkus could count on all of his four hands. It seemed that his human tendencies had been a key factor in their success thus far. Looking at the boy, Blinkus was certain Merlin had been right in his decision, and yet he couldn't help but wish the amulet had chosen a less youthful hero.

Merlin, he was just a kid.
