,.~=^@ Quistis @^=~., Ballad of Angels (Part 1)

___

It has been a struggle for Liberation of Timber, all SeeDs assigned to this rigorous mission was set to be 'at ease' for the next few weeks, it was well deserved. Ex-instructor Quistis, Queen of Blue Hearts, sat at the glistening, baby blue water-fountain on the outer parameters of the floating Garden, looking into the silk surface of the water, staring at the reflection of Balamb Garden. She sat there, alone, thinking of herself, then silently sighed at the thoughts she had in mind; everyone thar were very close to her, Squall, Rinoa, Selphie, Zell, and Irvine, she admired all of them, having someone to trust, she couldn't think of anyone she to turn to. Her unsettling feelings started to well up inside, a single tear which slid down her soft, light cheeks. The tear fell into the clear-aqua colored water, rippling the image of Garden, revealing time to her. The water began to calm, a shadow approached on the reflection ontop the waterbed surface, then the familiar voice spoke to her, "Quistis," her heart froze for a brief moment, she turned to face Squall, "whats wrong?".

Kneeling down on one knee, Squall glanced into her glass-blue eyes, his hand approached her, clearing the tear from her cheek with a gentle swipe. She was silent, she thought of something to say for the moment. "A,ah, u,um, its nothing, really," attempting to conceal her inner feelings. She wasn't successful. She couldn't cover her emotions staring into Squall's deep brown eyes, she bursted into tears. "I'm sorry," her voice broke out, "I,I just don't know what to do." Squall gently pressed his finger softly onto Quistis's lips, hushing her, he didn't understand, but he was obliged to do something. He wrapped his arms around her and held her firmly, he said softly into her ears, "Don't worry, everyone goes through these times, I know. It's hard. I'll be right here if you ever need anything."

Squall guided her to her feet and held her hands, gently smiling, "Quistis, will you show me the secret area? One more time?" She looked at him, and gently smiled, "Sure, as soon as I clean myself up." Both of them chuckled. "Alright," Squall hugged her one more time, "I'll be waiting..."

Author's Note: It has been a while since I've written a story, this might take a while to complete. My next installment to the story will be sometime in late October 2002, sorry for the inconvenience, but I need to live my life too, you know how hard it is to come up with ways to get the story out of your head, so bare with me. Thank You for reading.
