People think that Russia is a bad guy. They always say he's so weird and scary. But no one seems to remember that bad and intimidating are two different things. It's true, he has hurt me, in ways most people could never dream. But has he ever known any different? I've seen many a country broken by Mongolia. Even Hungary, who was so independent, was slowly broken by Turkey and the Mongols. So why is Russia any different? Why is he so evil?
He is very dedicated to whatever cause he's fighting for. Even if it is taking over the world. Germany tried didn't he? So why then, is Russia so wrong for hoping as well? It's true, he's dealt me my fair share of blows, but it's not like it's anything more then cuts over old scars. He's scared, he lashes out, and I forgive him. After all, it could have been worse. So why is it always him that's to blame?
They call him a murderer, but haven't we all killed? I was just as bad, back when me and Poland were a commonwealth together. The world was our playground. And didn't Turkey slaughter a bunch of Greeks, and didn't Austria invade Hungary? Wasn't it Germany that went around the world killing hundreds of thousands of Jewish men, women and children?
So why is it that Russia is always to blame. People always think he's so cruel and evil. But how would you act after being put through so much? I do not blame him for anything. The only reason I left is that I wanted to be able to make my own decisions. Similar reasons to Hungary leaving Austria.
Russia is just a scared little flower in a field of snow and ice. Afraid of being snuffed out at any moment, by all of the threats all around him. Because, even though the flower is a large one, it is delicate. But more importantly, thought the flower may have pointed leaves and be bright and dramatic, we all need to remember that unlike roses, a sunflower does not have thorns.
Reviews are appreciated. Also, if you liked this little oneshot, do you think I should turn it in to a multi chaper fanfiction? Tell me and I'll start writing it before I lose interest.
Oh, and since I forgot to say it in the beginning, I (obviously) don't own Hetalia.
