POV: ? ?
"Where…. Where am I?"
I look around and survey my surroundings. I'm in a forest. I see myself. I see myself holding Momomi in my arms, crying helplessly. I see her bleeding out, talking to me in my final moments. She says words to me. She touches my face. Her hand falls and I catch it. I tremble. I scream in agony.
I wake up, tears in my eyes. It was just a nightmare. I probably shouldn't have had that ramen late at night. Hell, I shouldn't have stayed up late at night at all. I'm going to become a gennin for crying out loud!
I wipe my eyes, put on some new clothes, and step out of bed. I check and see if my parents are awake. Still asleep. I go downstairs, have an instant ramen bowl, and walk to school with it. Hopefully dad wont notice that I'm gone.
POV: Ichigo ?
"Alright Ichigo. Here's the team you've been assigned to." The 6th hokage hands me a pamphlet. I open it. A team of five?
"Erm… Hokage-sama, is this a mistake? I seem to have four genin on my squad…"
The hokage, who had his back turned to me, turned around and looked at me. "Look at the students, Ichigo."
I glace at the pamphlet. The moment I realized it, my eyes widened…
POV: ? ?
I finish my ramen and throw it in the trash. I open the door and-
"Roxas Uzumaki! You are late!"
"Yeah, yeah, my bad sensei." I open the door to see my academy instructor, Konohamaru with a clipboard in his hand.
"Take a seat, Roxas. You are going to be assigned your team."
I take my seat, and the voice of Saito is behind me suddenly.
"Yo, why so late sleepyhead?"
"Another nightmare," I say with my head on the desk.
"Another? That's the 3rd one in a row. Shouldn't you get that checked out with your mom?" Saito looks slightly worried.
"I didn't mention it to her. She doesn't seem to notice I was troubled. By the way, have you seen Sayuri?"
"I'm right here, baka." I turn to my right to see my pink haired twin. She looks a little pissed. "You forgot all about early morning practice, so I had to train with a clone. Thanks a lot."
"Well, excuse me if I was chakra exhausted last night. I couldn't help the fact that these seals drain so much out of me." I stare at the covered seals on my left arm. My entire left arm is covered with a black chakra sealing cloth. No chakra goes in, no chakra goes out.
"Hmph, typical of you." Sayuri turns to face forward, eager to find out who her sensei will be. All of the squads have been called out. All that is left is….
"Squad 10's gennin will be composed of…. Roxas Uzumaki, Sayuri Uzumaki, Saito Uchiha, and Momomi Uchiha."
The three of us look at each other, but….
"Pardon me sensei, my sister is absent at the moment. She is sick from overworking herself via chakra exhaustion last night." Saito is standing.
"Hmm…. Alright then, just meet up with your sensei for now. Momomi can catch up later."
The three of us head out to meet ourr sensei, eager about it, but guilty for leaving out Momomi.
