Surprise Move

"I'm home!" Goo cried excitedly as she entered her place of residence.

But instead of being greeted by her mother, she sees her father hurry past her and could hear things being hurriedly moved.

"What's going on?" Goo asked already confused that her father was home already.

"Goo!" her mother cried and rushed down the stairs and hugged her daughter, "we're going on another adventure, okay."

"The men in dark clothing are coming again dear," her dad said from another room, "remember that we always leave before they arrived?" he asked her.

"Yes," Goo said excitedly.

"Then go upstairs and pack honey," her mother said sweetly, "our hippie neighbours across the street agreed to take us to Graceland intersection," she told Goo.

"Oooh Grace Land," Goo said mystified, "is it a nice place?" she excitedly asked her mother.

"We'll go from there to a nice place," her mother said sweetly and kissed Goo on the cheek, "now hurry and pack darling," she told her daughter.

"Okay!" Goo cried happily, "pack and go before the Men in Black up and comes," she sang, "that's the game we play."

Goo entered her room then packed excitedly. New Place meant New Adventure. She had made lots of friends in different places. Now she'd make even more friends.

But as she packed a photo falls out of the travelling bag. Goo reaches down and picks it up. It was a picture of the imaginary friends at Foster's, Madame Foster, her granddaughter Francine, Cheese (who didn't live at Fosters but always found his way there), Mac, and her Goo.

Goo's face suddenly fell.

Anywhere she ran from the Men in Black with her parents, she never returned.

Tears started to roll down her cheeks.

She already knew that she couldn't tell them. The last friend she told about the Men in Black mysteriously died. Her parents said the men in dark clothing murdered her.

The guilt stuck with Goo even today.

She could never tell her current friends the reason she was leaving. She just hoped they'd never forget her. Because she'd always remember them.

(Saying) Things are temporary. Friends are forever.

The End

The sequel Broken Heart is posted at Death's Soulmate profile. This story shows Mac. Goo's story is over. Please don't ask for a continuation or the identity of the men in dark clothing a.k.a. the Men in Black. Thank you for reading and please review.

Please Note: Goo nicknames the chasers 'Men in Black'. Her parents call them men in dark clothing because their clothes are always in dark colours.
