Midnights for Kukai and Amu
Kukai ran across the street with a smile on his face, happy to be getting closer to "her."
It was because of "her" that he came out every night at precisely midnight.
It was because of "her" that he would knock softly on the door that connected the balcony to her room.
Amu looked towards her clock, which shown 12:00, with a smile on her face as she thought of "him".
It was because of "him" that she would open the door that led to her balcony.
It was because of "him" that she would smile the most beautiful smile in the world, which looked even more beautiful in the moonlight.
"Amu-koi..." Kukai said softly as he hugged her.
"Kukai-koi..." Amu replied, burying her face in his chest.
The two let go of each other and just smiled for a few moment before they left the Hinamori household and strolled to the park. They sat on bench and looked up at the stars. Kukai put his arm around Amu's waist and pulled her closer to him as she blushed. They kissed under the moonlight for who knows how long before finally breaking apart to breath. They got up and walked back to the Hinamori household, Amu leaning her body against Kukai's as they walked.
Once they got back, Amu lay in bed, smiling as Kukai put the covers over her and kissed her forehead. He rose up to leave, but before he could even move his legs, Amu tugged at his shirt, pulling him down to the bed. Kukai, getting the hint, lay down. He played with her hair as he waited until she fell asleep to leave, but, getting too lost in his thoughts of her, fell asleep along with her.
An hour before he could get into any trouble, he woke up, kissed her forehead and quietly walked over to the balcony to go home, leaving a sleeping Amu blushing in her sleep.
This became a great part of their daily lives. They couldn't see each other too much on a count of Kukai going to high-school and Amu still going to middle-school so this was how they spent their nights until the magical year when Amu finally moved on to high-school when their nightly schedules changed.
That year, they got together an hour earlier than before to spend almost every second together, but that is NOTHING compared to how long they spent with each other by the time they became adults... Souma Kukai and Souma Amu forever...
