It didn't matter what circumstances brought them together - rather Bumblebee was coming back into the battlefield, Smokescreen going forward, or they found each other in another world or area entirely.
It didn't matter what they were doing - fighting Cons, gathering important relics, simply trying to seek out a living for themselves, or saving their whole race or the entire galaxy. It didn't matter how young or world-weary they were, or who else might've been in their lives.
They recognized each other, even in another's face or with a stranger's optics. They recognized each other with one glance, being the young ones out in the war of ancient rage. Throughout all the many, varied battles they have fought, after all this time in the war, Bumblebee found his voice once again and Smokescreen had found his place.
So it would be best to celebrate for now, even if there was only so much time left for them.
