It was the sound of it that he was obsessed with. The way it breathed out of her so freely had Jack completely turned out; helpless.
He'd do anything necessary to make Sam do it. Embarrassed with himself at times, he was a General in the US Air Force after all. Yet every decoration he'd won, every honour he'd earned, fell noisily to reality's floor whenever she said it.
The sound of his name in Sam's mouth was more powerful than any star on his uniform. Laying in bed, hearing Sam call him 'Jack', was this General's greatest obsession.
