Titanium Nightmares

Raven woke up at roughly three o'clock in the morning drenched in a cold sweet. Her heart beat was racing and her breath came sharply and quickly into her lungs. This was the third time in a month that she had been a victim of this dream and it was beginning to show. Her fighting had been careless and the team, especially Robin was starting to wonder about her. Sighing Raven swung her pale feet onto the cold floor of her room and stood up to stretch. Out of the corner of her eye she saw it, a shifting in the shadows of her window. Suddenly wide awake she crept towards the dark purple curtains and spotted the silhouette of a man against the moonlight from outside the tower. Whispering her spell she threw a crackling stream of black magic towards the figure only to be greeted with a cold knife to her throat.

"Scream and you die, it's that simple. I don't want to hurt you I want to help you; to give you a warning. Are you willing to listen?" a scratchy voice said into her ear not even exhaling enough to leave breath upon her neck. Silently Raven nodded a yes, the knife hand relaxed.

"You will know of whom I warn you of by the two rings she wears. Only trouble will she bring to those who try and protect her from me and my kind. Understand?"

Raven again nodded and as soon as the hand was completely gone from her neck she spun to face her attacker but instead found only a dark room and her leering statues. A cold breeze played against her back and blew her curtains around. Grabbing her cloak Raven headed for the kitchen; this required tea.

A/N I know this was extremely short, but I wanted to leave it there with an air of comedy towards the end. Please review!
