This is probably a bit weird and uncalled for but I decided to do it anyways. This fanfiction is based off this fan video watch?v=ppEIOocYJDk
It features the pairing of Anastasia(from Anastasia)/Odette(from the Swan Princess). I had to alter the plot somewhat significantly for it to work properly as you might imagine. (But less significantly than I expected, so yay?)
The whole Dimitri plot was hacked and Odette is no longer actually a princess as that would make very little sense in France at this point. However her family is fairly wealthy and does want to marry her off to a boy of another also fairly wealthy family and has been planning this for some time.
I had almost been killed over a dozen times by my journey to Paris.
The cold and poverty had left its mark. My extremities grew coarse from freezing and splitting in the dry winter winds that plague Russia and the North. Hunger pushed my bones closer to my skin, making it rub against my clothes with that much more urgency.
I pushed myself forward by saying I needed Paris. In Paris I had family. I would be safe with them like I hadn't been with Dame Olga.
My family would keep me warm. "Together in Paris" was what the necklace told me. I would surely be kept warm in the great city of Paris.
But it was a fool's dream.
Paris was a bustling city, filled past the brim with people too busy to give the time of day to an orphaned street urchin, let alone help her to find her lost family. And besides,
"Together in Paris" was hardly a unique sentiment. Favored by lovers who could only exist for weeks at a time in Paris, it was printed on many jewelry items. My necklace was not one of a kind. No one would remember making it or selling it. I could have pawned off my necklace and its chain at any point and lived well for a week but I needed proof of my family to justify leaving the relative safety of the fishery job that Dame Olga had provided.
That night I had chosen an abandoned opera house as my resting place.
I had not eaten for three days.
I would have met my death in the cold if not for her.
She hesitated at the doorway of the opera, completely separate from my state of existence in her fluffy white fur coat and diamond earrings. Her slim gloved hand rested on the door she had propped open, unsure of her next step.
Anyone could see she was beautiful. It was obscenely obvious. The elegance of centuries of delicate breeding gifted her face with timeless class that her bouncy waves of blonde hair framed precisely. Her education in preparation for future marriage graced her with a refined sort of movement and attention to detail that few could properly imitate.
But what had impressed me I doubt many of her suitors or even her parents had noticed. In her violet blue eyes a fierce intellect sharply intruded into the plans of her impending married life. She had an understanding of the place that was made for her in this world and was displeased.
I was starving and I wasn't sympathetic.
If you like it feel free to tell me. Also if you hate and think it's stupid feel free to tell me. I really enjoy people saying stuff to me. :)
Also if you happen to know what's up with the summary section I would love to know. It seems to have deleted the end of all my sentences.
