"Colonel Mustang!" Riza screamed. She saw all the blood, she saw Roy laying face down on the front porch steps, not moving at all. She ran over

to his still body and grabbed his shoulders. "Dammit, Roy Mustang! Talk to me!" she yelled louder, but still got no response.

Roy heard her yelling. He couldn't answer. He was so weak, so tired and worn out. He just couldn't do it. Why was Riza crying? She's stronger

than that, wasn't she?

'Don't cry, Riza." he wanted to say to her, 'I'm fine.' But then he started seeing darkness and grew scared. Was he dying? Was this what Hughes

had seen before he had died? Roy wanted to scream, wanted to yell something to Lieutenant Hawkeye, but he just didn't have the strength to

find his voice.

Riza was crying harder now, practically screaming for him.

'Why, oh, why do women fawn over men when they die?!' Roy asked himself. Heh, his last bit of energy was used on humor. That's good. It

means your soul won't completely dissapear...That's what Ed would have said. Ed. 'You damn well better fix things around here. I won't be able

to look after you...' Finally, Roy started surrendering to the blackness.

Before he was completely gone, he could have sworn he heard Riza whisper in his ear, "I love you, Colonel."
