I'm Sorry
Tigerlily: We were watching 'Wizardmon's Gift', when an idea for a fanfic suddenly came into our heads.

On the roof of Odiba TV station, Gatomon sat looking at the ground, the white cat's stomach was slightly swelled, but apart from that she looked exactly as she had done 8 years when she had last visited.
After taking a deep breath, Gatomon looked up and started to talk.
"Wizardmon, I'm sorry. And this time not just for dragging you into working for Myotismon; for playing with your heart the way I did; rubbing the fact that it wasn't you I loved, but the Patamon of the holder of the crest of Hope (A/N: Basically Patamon, for the people like me, who are blonde!) in your face, anytime I could." Tears were streaming down Gatomon's face, but she did nothing to stop them. "I'm sorry for not giving the real reason why I was asking for your forgiveness when you died, but I didn't want to ruin my new friend-" she stopped and checked herself. "There's no proper excuse, I'm just a coward, even now, 12 years on, I still can't tell Kari, or the others, only my mate: Patamon. I'm so sorry, Wizardmon!"
Gatomon's body was shaking with sobs now, but she continued. "I'm sorry that you saved me from Myotismon's wrath countless of times and I couldn't give you what you wanted, for me to think of you as more than a brother, I'm sorry." Gatomon broke off and put her head in her paws.
After a while, she was conscious of a paw rubbing her back and somebody comforting. She instantly knew who it was, and leaned into Patamon's embrace.
"Gatomon, I'm sure Wizardmon wouldn't want you to cry. Remember, he forgave you. I only knew him for a couple of hours, but it was obvious he loved you, and didn't want to cause you any pain. He would want even less now that you're pregnant."
Gatomon smiled at the badly hidden note of pride in Patamon's voice. She stood up and turned to him,
"Come on. I'm ready to go home now, and tell TK and Kari what they should have known a long time ago." Patamon nodded and started to fly, "Patamon." He stopped and looked down at Gatomon, "I love you." Patamon grinned and swooped down to kiss her cheek.
"I know. You love me as much as I love you. Come on!" Together they made their way back to TK and Kari's new apartment. Above them in the sky a figure that had been since Gatomon arrived, which neither had seen, floated back into the station.
"Patamon's right, Gatomon," Wizardmon said softly. "I don't want you to cry. Congratulations on both yours and Kari's pregnancies. I look after Patamon, Kari and your baby, and you will have repaid me in full, I love you."
