Heero jumped out of his Gundam. Bodies of innocent people lay in a puddle of blood. He stepped over body's looking at the millions of people he killed with one blast. Women and Children they were innocent yet He the perfect soldier killed everything and anything in his path. Heero destroyed the city were he was looking for a certain someone. A person with long braided hair a chatterbox mouth, colbat blue eyes and a happy go-lucky personality. Some how he had the felling he was still alive. He walked on in the silence only the crunching sound when he walked. He looked into a demolished coffee shop. Broken glass lay everywhere-lifeless bodies leaning over the counters and tables. Heero looked down and walked off. Heero walked on for what seemed like for hours. He thought he heard someone saying help but he ignored it. But the Help was still ringing in his ears. Heero walked to the sound and found a hand sticking out of a pile of rubble. Heero took off some wood and plaster that was on top of the body. He was shocked to see who was under the rubble "DUO" Duo looked up at Heero "you. Heero" and then he passed out. Heero wasted no time in getting him to his Gundam. He placed Duo in his lap and took off to the L1 colony. "Hold on we're almost there" he whispered. By the time they got there Heero took off to the hospital. Hours passed and the nurse came out. "The operation was successful, but he's in coma" "Can I see him?" Heero asked. The Nurse led him thourgh a couple of doors to Duo's Hospital Bed. Heero walked up to Duo. Heero took Duo's hand in his own. "I'm sorry Duo, I'll promise I'll stay here by your side." Weeks went by Duo never woke up. Heero stayed over night at the hospital waiting for him to wake up.

After another week past Heero returned to the hospital. He saw the drapes around Duo's bed. He asked the nurse what happened that was in there. The Nurse herself was crying "He died last night and we didn't find out till just now" Heero was shocked and pulled back the drapes. There lie Duo white and pale. Heero touched his cold fingers "I never got to tell you" he whispered and kissed him lightly. Heero walked out into the rain his hair soggy and his Prussian eyes were were now cold and looked like steel
Way far above Duo watched him and pulled the ring out from his pocket. "Now, I'll be watching you" he pulled out the ring "Heero Yuy and Duo Maxwell Forever"
