Ok, so I gotta stop listening to Owl City. And I realize that the last line is wrong. See, the line from Fireflies, "I got misty eyes as they said farewell" I thought it said "I witnessed the eyes as they said farewell." So that's where I got this from. Yea, the song didn't make sense, but that's what I thought.
So if you think about it the last line is completely original. But anyway, this is from Tony's POV, just in case you didn't figure it out by the end.
Oh! I wrote this while in Subway in Staten Island, even though it has nothing to do with Subway, but I thought I'd just let you know:D
Kay, well enjoy and review.
I always liked Kate's eyes.
They were this really nice shade of hazel. And you could always tell what she was feeling by her eyes.
When she was happy her eyes seemed to smile. When she was mad, usually at me, they narrowed and became stone hard.
They would dart in all different directions when she was worried and you could just see the alert in her eyes when we would search a suspect's house.
And when nothing was happening, her eyes always looked so peaceful.
I always wondered how even though she was with us for almost 2 years and had seen so much evil in the world, her eyes made her seem mellow.
My eyes were never like that, and Gibbs eyes were definitely not peaceful. Sometimes I could even see Probie's eyes starting to fade.
Kate's were always full of life though.
But on the rooftop, May 24th. No, no perky eyes.
I notice the worry rush to her eyes when she caught sight of the shooter.
I saw the strong look of determination as she jumped in front of Gibbs.
I hated seeing her eyes closed when we rushed over to her, Not knowing if she was alive or not.
But when we lifted her up, having seen that she was fine. You could almost feel the color come back to her eyes.
They glistened in the sunlight the rooftop exposed up to. I remember looking at her eyes when it happened.
They never closed.
Not until Ducky closed them himself.
When we were on the rooftop, and that bullet ripped through her head...
I watched her fall.
I watched her bleed.
I watched her die.
I watched the color and happiness, determination, sadness, personality, life, and the 'Kate' drain from her eyes.
She never had the chance to say goodbye, no, her eyes did that for her.
I witnessed the eyes as they said farewell.
Just a drabble, something I thought of when I misheard that line, funny how things work out.
Anyway, review!:D
And for those of you reading "All These Years", I'm trying to get that update i promised by tomorrow:D
