"...Ive gotten this stupid thing called writers block. And as my loyal readers all know, when I get writers block, I also get a bad case of OneShot fever. Pleaz R&R!"

Spencer Reid gave Penelope Garcia his most convincing smile; she wasn't buying it.

"Please, if you're not going to give me a sincere smile, don't fake one." Garcia said, demonstrating with her own sad smile. Reid dropped his gazed, knowing there was no hiding from Garcia.

"Come on, you said you'd talk to me after the case ended. It's over now, and you're not off the hook."

"I know." Reid replied before looking up at Garcia. "Yeah, I miss him. No, I'm not okay right now."

"Tell me about it."

"Gideon was the closest thing to a father I had, but now I don't even have that anymore. He always told me to be strong, to keep going despite the complications of our job. He told me to go in bold and come out brave. He went in bold, but he came out weak." Reid sighed, setting down his coffee. "He told me the day that this job starts waring at my soul and my hands stop turning cold is the day I should back out. But in the end, words are just words; they don't change anything."

"What are you trying to say?" Garcia asked.

"How am I suppose to know what things he told me were a lie and which ones were true? How I am suppose to feel when my mentor just abandoned me without saying a word?

"He killed Sarah, you know." Reid started. "The death of a loved one always affects people. Was this his breaking point? Was this finally his time to leave the BAU? There are just so many things that I don't know right now. I wish...I wish I could just talk to him one more time- clarify things, you know."

"I do know, Sweetie. And I also know that things don't always work out the right way." Garcia reached for her younger friend's hand. Reid wrapped his hand around her own tighter, wondering where Gideon was right now.

"I wonder if he told his son he left the BAU..." Garcia mused.

"Yeah, I've wondered that too." Reid murmured. "But, then again, why would he?"

"They weren't very close; that much I known." Garcia said, nodding her head.

"There were only a few people he did open up to. He even limited what he told the team."

"I think you kind of took after him that way." Garcia smiled.

"Yeah, but I was born that way. Being a child prodigy in Las Vegas with a schizophrenic mother and absentee father, I got used to keeping things to myself." Reid nodded.

"You're not a kid anymore."

"I know." Reid whispered.

Garcia let a comfortable silence sit over them for a second, deciding where to go next in their conversation, when a girl started talking on her phone rather loudly.

"No; I like 'It's a Wonderful Life' better." she responded. Reid raised his eyebrows.

"Please tell me you know what that is." Garcia said with an accusing look.

"I know what it is, I've just never seen the movie before." Reid replied plainly.

"Come on." Garcia said with a roll of her eyes. As she stood up, she pulled Reid to his feet and walked out of the coffee shop...

"Garcia, you know it's not Christmas, right?" Reid asked suspiciously as he slumped down on her couch.

"Of course, but it's never out of season to watch a good Christmas movie!" she replied, shushing all argument from Reid.

Half way through the movie, Garcia glanced back at Reid. Noticing her action, Reid looked back.

"You're going to be okay, right?"

Reid gave her a reassuring smile. "Yeah, I'm going to be okay."

Garcia smiled back and turned back to the movie, glad that she had been able to help...

"...Sorry, I mentioned Christmas movies for an excuse for Garcia to take Reid home and it HOT! Pleaz R&R!"
