Author's Note: I do not own Princess Bride, and I am not making money off of this. I wrote this for an English course, so I do not how good this is. Enjoy.
Alternate Ending to The Princess Bride
By Bunny Dee
And they lived happily ever after…
The four brave adventurers escaped into the night, vanishing to never be seen again. Well, actually they were seen again just not by their pursuers until they were on their deathbeds after living long, uneventful lives.
Inigo never fully recovered from the wounds he accrued in that great duel with the Count, he was weak and prone to illness. He persevered though, and he moved back to Spain, married, had a few children, then died all within seven years of escaping from Prince Humperdinck's castle. The soldiers of King Humperdinck just missed him, for he had also just died. The King was a little irritated, but he knew the other three were still there in the world.
Fezzik, well Fezzik took to the Church. He took the vows to become a monk, and became a well known pacifist in certain parts of the known world. He died of a heart attack later in life. King Humperdinck's soldiers just missed arresting him too. The King was really irritated about that, but Buttercup and Westley were still out, so he was willing to it go without much comment.
Buttercup and Westley married, eventually having seven beautiful, loving children who in turn had many children themselves. They set up their new lives under the assumed surname of Baker. Buttercup became a housewife and Westley took up baking donuts (even better than Krispy Kremes though this was long before Krispy Kremes was even a thought). They lived to the ripe old age of 80 before succumbing to old age. A few seconds after they had passed on soldiers of King Humperdinck came to arrest them when they least expected it (which yes they did not expect, for they were dead), but they had already died peacefully in their sleep surrounded by loved ones. To put it mildly, King Humperdinck was not pleased.
For those four brave adventurers life held nothing but joy (except those little bumps in the road of life that everybody expects to happen) after escaping from Prince Humperdinck. King Humperdinck was never really happy after the escape, but that was to be expected.
