For my beautiful Cassandra....I OWN NOTHING!!

It seemed like an utterly normal day when Norah entered 'The planet'. The blonde, bruised and aching from the night's work sat down at a table intent on nothing more then a cup of coffee...and maybe a scone...or something ridiculously sugary.

Tired, sad, lonely emerald green eyes lifted to the ceiling and she sighed heavily, moving to massage one shoulder. She paid no attention to the people around her, desperate only for the relief of some caffeine before the need to start her day.

For no reason at all Norah looked up. Something took her. Heat washed from her spine to her face and she felt herself blushing-though she cursed herself for it.

She knew her pupils dilated, her breath hitched she gulped thickly and bit her lip. She was straight. Very straight. White blonde hair, perfect tan, perfect teeth, perfect make up, beach bunny out of a catalogue straight...but then why....and then she spoke.

"Welcome to the planet...you look like you could use a cup." her dark curls framed her face, her eyes shone from behind her European skin, her lips pressed together in a smile bereft of anything seductive or conniving.

Norah could only nod her head, it was a vacuum, a vacuum in time and space. Her mind, her eyes, her breath, none of it was hers any longer. Norah had never been a believer in this sort of nonsense, fate and love and the rest of that foolishness.

In that moment however, every breathy nonsensical word her brother had ever spoken in his romantic wish wash made sense.

Her fingers curled on the table and her jaw set a little tighter as her lips parted, green eyes riveted on her slender frame Norah watched as her heart left her body and settled in space, in that vacuum of space.

The keeper of the space, the only one present, the one who now owned the mind, the eyes, the breath, and the heart....Merena.
