A/N: Haha, I did this for an english assignment(no, really) but it's a sonnet(14 lines with iambic pentameter, so don't fuss at the length of each line) and fanfiction all in one, not to mention LAME. Oh well, r&r.

The Pillar

The future of this country is my own.

The power of my will determines all.

I am without an egual, I have known,

For there was another, doomed to fall.

I have no choice, I cannot love another,

Nor can I wish for my own betterment.

For if I did, it would spell disaster,

Darkness would fall, bringing all to lament.

It would be a burden, but I can bear;

I have my fellow knights and my dear friends.

I am still the young girl with the red hair,

The one for whom happiness never ends.

With the weight of a world on my shoulders,

I continue to live my life like all others.
