Chapter 1
Samantha's POV:
I am Samantha Puckett. I would like to be called Sam but my father and mother thinks its unladylike to be called a boy's name. I am a Capulet we are not allowed to socialize with the Montague's because my family is in war with the other royal family so socializing with them is prohibited, in definitely.
I walked up the paved road in my long dress. It was summer and I was wearing a dress. I glided quite swiftly while my assistant tried to keep up.
"Samantha! Samantha!" Melanie said tripping over her dress and shoes while the papers she was carrying went flying. I stopped and helped her pick up the papers.
"Oh Melanie. What shall I do with you?" I asked smiling.
"Well miss you could slow down just a tad and then maybe I could keep up. It would be nice to not have to fall on my face." said Melanie giggling.
We got up and walked up the stairs to my room. Melanie closed the door and put the papers down.
"Did you hear? The big ball is tonight and everyone's going. Are you?" I shook my head (not because I didn't want to go) its just Melanie was trying to be an optimist and I loathed optimize. I turned around and she was giving me these big puppy dog eyes.
"I suppose I will go and stay for a moment or two." I said tired and defeated.
"Huzzah! I shall go and consult your parents in your festivities for the evening." She bowed out and left.
I flopped on my bed and closed my eyes. The reason I don't want to go is because I have no date. I fell asleep.
Chapter 2
Freddie's POV
I stood in my room and looked out the window. Ah the summer trees seem to sway in the summer breeze. I heard a knock at the door. I turned around.
"Sir, may I come in?" My right hand man, Gibby, was standing in the door.
"Please do come in, Gibson." I said walking over to my bed and sitting down.
"Please do call me Gibby." He said. "Anyways about the ball tonight…"
I groaned. "Gibby, I wish not to go for I do not have a date to accompany me."
"Well Spencer and I do not have a date to go with us either. I think we shall all go together and have a grand time. Please do come sir." He gave me puppy dog eyes.
"Alright. I shall accompany you and Spencer." I said defeated and tired.
"Hallelujah! I shall go and consult with your parents." Gibby bowed out and left.
I flopped on my bed and fell asleep.
"Freddie. Freddie. WAKE UP!" I jerked awake to face Spencer.
"Spencer, Gibby." I said acknowledging them and standing up. We walked out the door and up the paved path and up the stairs. We walked in and I was there for merely three moments before I saw… Her.
Chapter 3
Samantha POV
(A Few Minutes Before The Ball)
"Hold still Samantha!" My best friend, Carlotta, said.
"I'm holding still!" I said angry, because for the last hour Carlotta and Melanie have been primping and ruffling my hair and make-up.
"Well your not holding still enough, miss." said Melanie.
"Oh please Melanie stop calling me miss. I love you enough for you be to my sister. So from now on just call me Sa- I mean Samantha."
"Well we're all set." said Carlotta.
"Good." I walked over to the mirror and looked over myself. I looked pretty. Beautiful, almost.
"Beautiful." Carlotta breathed.
"Gorgeous." Melanie gushed.
"Let's go." I said moving swiftly. We walked up the stairs and entered the ball. I was there a few moments before I noticed… Him.
