Hermione looked down at the hand intertwined in hers. It fit perfectly, as if it had always been meant to be there. She just hoped that he realized it as well. She smiled softly up at the blonde man walking by her side. She'd waited for so long for him to realize that she was the one that he should be with.
They were walking slowly through the middle of a fair, as though he didn't care who saw that he was there with "mudblood" Hermione Granger. He looked up at the Ferris wheel as they passed by it, then he turned his gray gaze down to her and he smiled before kissing the top of her head. She looked up to see what it was that he'd been looking at, and frowned when she noticed Pansy Parkinson staring down at them, looking as though she might be a bit green in the eyes. Hermione looked back to Draco and smiled again, noticing that he was still looking down at her, his eyes shining happily with what she hoped was love. She may not be the prettiest girl around, but she definitely had to be a sight for sore eyes after all that time that he'd been with Parkinson, dealing with her cheating and then begging him for another chance telling how much she loved him.
The next day, Draco apparated in her living room, ready to take her shopping. It was her birthday today, and Draco was determined to buy her a new, very expensive dress, so he could take her out to dinner in Paris, France. Hermione smiled as they walked out the door and started walking throughout the town stopping at all the dress shops they saw, but he never found the perfect one for what he had planned. She felt her heart lurch seeing Pansy in one of the dress shops, watching them, definitely looking jealous. Draco stopped, seeing her, glared then brushed past her into the store as though she were some mere stranger. Hermione sighed, starting to worry that he was only with her to make Pansy jealous.
She turned her head and looked up at him, "Draco, I love you. I would walk through fire and barbed wires if you wanted. I'd walk miles just to be with you. I hope that someday we'll walk down the aisle of my mother's church, you looking devastatingly handsome in your finest church."
"I love you too, 'Mione, and maybe someday we can do that. First, let's just worry about the now, like finding the perfect dress for tonight."
That night they had dinner at the most romantic restaurant she'd ever been to, before he apparated them to back to the fair by the Ferris wheel Pansy had been on the night before. He pointed his wand into the air, sending sparks flying, then once he was sure everyone was looking, he pulled her to him and kissed her with all the love in his heart.
