Currently writing this while in bed, eleven at night, during a thunderstorm listening to loud music trying to drown out the thunder and getting the crap scared out of me every time lightning lights up my room.

THUNDER AND LIGHTNING
"M-m-max?"
"Yeah Angel?" It was 11 at night, and Max had been sleeping. She sat up in her bed. "What's wrong?"
As if to answer her question, a loud crack of thunder echoed around the house and lighting lit up the room. Angel flinched and ran to max.
"Oh. Are you scared?" Max put Angel next to get and put the covers around her neck so that only her little head and blonde curls were showing.
Angel nodded and whimpered as thunder was heard again. This time it was booming, and actually shook the bed. Max brushed her sweaty curls back and kissed her forehead. "you can sleep here for the night." Angel smiled, "thanks Max."
Half an hour later, a timid knock at Max's door woke her. Before she could say come in, another flash a lightning lit the house up and the door was flung open, revealing a frightened Gazzy. He ran across the room and parked himself on the coach in Max's room.
"Scared Gazzy?" Max asked softly.
"n-no. I'm not. I just wanted to make sure you and Angel were okay." he said.
Max ignored the flimsy excuse. "but you aren't scared of the sound of your bombs exploding."
"It's different. I know exactly when a bomb will explode. Thunder is different. It's random."
Max got up quietly so that she wouldn't wake Angel. She got one of the spare blankets from the closet and draped it over Gazzy. He smiled drowsily at her and with a quiet thank you, closed his eyes. Max got back into bed and drifted off to sleep.
Not ten minutes later, Nudge appeared and climbed under the covers. Max didn't notice, until a faint shriek escaped Nudge's lips at the next flash of thunder. Max jumped awake and was startled to see nudge in bed too.
"You too huh?" she brushed Nudge's hair back.
Nudge nodded and max just fell back asleep, holding the girl's hand.
Max was very surprised when Iggy appeared. She hissed quietly, "You are not getting in bed too."
Being blind, Iggy scoffed and said, "what, is Fang in your bed?"
"Everyone but you and him."
"Well, I'm just gonna..." he lay his blanket and pillow on the ground fell asleep.
Max just grinned.
At about one in the morning, Max was a little tired of getting kicked. Nudge had obviously had a dream about eating because she started to nibble on Max's hair. Max just pried her hair out of her mouth and got out of bed. She padded across the hall and knocked on Fang's door. A sleepy "come in" came from inside and she walked in.
"You scared?" he smirked.
"Everyone but us." was her reply. "My beds a little crowded."
He smiled and padded the space next to him. "Plenty of room."
She climbed in next to him smiled back. He grinned as lightning hit the room and they both fell asleep holding hands.
