"Hey" Octavia catches up to me as I walked away from my Mother's quarters. I had just finished helping her settle in.

I looked at Octavia's tired and rugged face. "Thanks"

I looked back at her blankly, not really sure what she was talking about.

"For getting Bellamy back here, Kane said it wasn't easy but you managed to calm him down"

I nodded my head in response.

"So, you guys found Clarke?" Octavia asked, walking with me back to medical where Bellamy was resting.

"He found her." I said. "It was all him, and he lost it when he woke up and she was gone and he couldn't walk."

"He was muttering her name; he was probably high on whatever Abby gave him as they stitched him up. I've never seen him like that" Octavia stopped abruptly, and turned to face me.

Her eyes were aglow with terror.
"I was so scared." She swallowed on the words painfully, looking in my direction but avoiding eye contact.
"I know he cares about her but he risked so much, what if you guys didn't find him and he followed her and got himself killed?"
Her worst thoughts had formed into words and were all now slipping out of her tongue.
"I've never seen him like that" she repeated it again.

"I have" I said. I tried to give her a comforting smile.
"Every time he worries about you."

She smiled faintly.
"But I'm okay. What if Clarke doesn't end up okay? What if he tries to find her again, he could die. What if we don't find her? It will break him Monty"
I suddenly wrapped my arms around her, unable to hear more pain. She clung to the shirt behind my back as she buried her face on my shoulder.

"He's already broken, how much more can he take?" She was barely able to say the words out loud.

"He will take anything for her." I said.
You didn't see him out there Octavia, he wasn't broken, he was strong. He tried to stand when I can see that he couldn't even take another step. He foolishly went undercover just to get to her because he couldn't wait, she was within his reach and he had to wait. She wasn't safe and all he wanted was to protect her.

"He will be okay" I assured Octavia as she stepped away from me.
"Maybe, it's time for you now to look out for him, like he always did for you."

"He loves her?" She asked me. "I overheard Kane and Pike talking."

I nodded.
It was the only answer.

"he doesn't know it though, does he?" I looked again at Octavia, her mouth had turned into a small smile and the tears were gone from her eyes.

"I doubt, having a name to his stupidity is the least of his concerns now." I answered, we started walking again.

"I have to go find Jasper, will you be staying here?" I asked as we stood in front of Medical.

"Yes, I want to be here when he wakes up."
She answered.
