-This story is what I would have liked to have seen happen at the end of Pariah, and features spoilers for both it and Unsafe. If you don't want to have those episodes spoiled, then you may want to hold off reading this. Otherwise, I hope that you like this. It's short, and more an exercise to satisfy my own romantic nature.-

As Chloe's footsteps faded away, Clark reached out and touched the headstone of Alicia's grave. He ran his hand over the rough-hewn granite and read the inscription:

Alicia Baker

1987-2005

Beloved Daughter, Granddaughter, and Friend

Clark removed his hand from the stone and stood up. "I'll be right back."

A few seconds later, he was back, standing in front of the grave, holding a fresh piece of granite, and replaced the current headstone with it. He made sure everything was perfect and went to work. Using his heat vision, he began to engrave the stone. An hour later, he was done. Etched into the top of the stone was Alicia's face, as it had looked on their date at the ice rink, a large smile on her face. Below that was a new inscription:

Alicia Baker Kent

1987-2005

Beloved Daughter, Granddaughter, Friend

And Wife

Clark kissed his fingers and touched them to the new stone one more time. "I love you, Alicia, and I always will." With that, he stood and left the cemetery.
