Beautiful Disaster

A SethCormag drabble; enjoy.
Seth watched from his steed as a wyvern dove through the air, lance of the rider impaling an enemy soldier, the body thrown off and into the sea just behind the wyvern. The winged creature soared majestically up and circled, wings cutting the air. The beast then dove back down and the rider launched a javelin that struck two archers, the impact sending them flying across the battlefield and into a pack of their allies.
The Silver Knight admired the might and grace of the pair. Many saw the rider during battle, cutting through enemies with ease, spear doused in blood by the end each time. Many saw the rider sitting by the fire each night, eating silently. Many saw the man riding the skies during travel, doing his duty in the army by scouting ahead.
Few saw the rider punch a tree in rage until his knuckles bled. Few knew the uncertainty that always lingered in the man's heart, not knowing whether to trust this foreign group or not. Few knew how much the man yearned for acceptance. Few saw the tears that slid down the man's cheeks at night when he thought of his dead brother.
Only one cleaned and bandaged the man's knuckles when his rage was depleted. Only one was trusted fully by the rider. Only one knew everything about the rider and accepted him regardless of his wrongdoings. Only one held the man through the tear filled nights, a gentle kiss on the forehead or murmur of reassurance allowing him to get any sleep at all. Only one loved him with all his heart.
Cormag dismounted after the battle, pulling off his helmet to reveal a sweaty brow and wet hair. Seth smiled warmly, and Cormag blushed slightly as he did each time the knight graced him with a smile. The Silver Knight took the wyvern knight's hand in his and they walked back to camp together, their steeds both following obediently. Seth didn't know if Cormag would ever heal after all he had been through; he didn't know if the man would ever trust anyone like he trusted the knight. He was such a disaster; unable to possibly ever be the same way he was before his brother's death. But he was a beautiful disaster nonetheless.
