Jimmy Palmer looked up suddenly from his clipboard as he heard the doors leading into autopsy swish open.

"Oh, hi Tim," he said, smiling. McGee grinned at him knowingly.

"So, when was the big day, Jimmy?" McGee fairly winked at the assistant medical examiner.

"Uh… I'm sorry… what?" Jimmy shook his head, confused. Tim looked at him and cocked his head.

"Oh, come on Palmer. YOU know. I know you think I don't know, but I know. Everyone knows. But did you KNOW that everyone knows?"

Jimmy's eyebrows knitted in confusion over his green eyes. "Am I supposed to know what you're talking about Tim?"

"Well, clearly you don't know that everyone knows. Ducky knows. He doesn't know that you know he knows though. I mean, you know now that he knows. You think we don't notice that little lump in the front of your scrubs…"

Jimmy blushed crimson.

"… top?" Tim finished, revelling in making Palmer squirm.

Jimmy sighed. So, everyone knew about him and Michelle now. But just in case, he decided to play it carefully.

He raised an eyebrow. "Ohhhh… THAT."

Tim grinned. Making Palmer squirm was fun, but he really did like him, anyway, they'd had to rely on his expertise more than once when Ducky had been called out. He just didn't make a point of telling him, was all. He decided to let him off the hook. Winking, he pursed his lips and softly whistled the opening notes of "Here Comes the Bride."

Jimmy sighed again, this time with relief.

"I can't wear it at work. Not on my hand anyway. If it caught in a saw I'd lose my finger or something." He shared a brief look with Tim. The Special Agent nodded and grinned.

"No need to explain, Jimmy. I just wanted you to know that we know. And, congratulations. You're obviously very happy. Anyway, this gives me fresh fodder for my next book. I think my fans will be happy when I introduce a love interest for Pimmy. I think I'll call her… Michaela… Leeson… Yeah, that'll work."

Tim laughed and ducked out of the way as Jimmy's eyes grew wide, and the young assistant medical examiner appeared to reach for the first aerodynamic object within reach.

"I'm kidding, Jimmy!" Tim chuckled, as he turned around and headed for the door.
