Chapter 1: Out the Thunder Plains
"I felt like I didn't belong"
"But if I didn't belong with them then
I'd be alone in Spira and being alone there…
I didn't want to think about it"
I felt frustrated at Yuna, why did she have to marry him?
Was it because of what was on that sphere?
Was it because she loves him?
Or was it because she just wanted Spira to be at peace for some time?
If she wanted that why didn't she just get on with her pilgrimage?
And defeat Sin
I'll never understand her
Tidus trudged across the thunder plains with low spirits and a heavy heart. The others wondering somewhere behind him. Yuna had just announced that she had decided she was to marry Lord Seymour. It was sudden and surprising for her Guardians, not one of them liked him though they didn't really know why she was doing this. They all thought that because the state Spira was in now, it would bring a little light and happiness to the people. Tidus & Auron knew it was more than just that.
As they exited the Thunder Plains Tidus started lacking a little and everybody over took him. He looked around as they entered some kind of woods that sparkled like those pyerflies he saw. Up ahead he saw Auron stop and wait for him before the next bend.
"Yuna's hiding something, I worried about her" he automatically said as he approached him.
"I know, she is planning something, Seymour is already dead, and she must be trying to send him. She doesn't want us caught up in what she's planning." Auron replied calmly.
"Yea I know, but that just makes me worry about her even more." Tidus said with sadness.
"Huh, she might just be trying to persuade him to do something, Yuna is strong and her will might be set, but out of her & Seymour, he is the stronger. But for now all we can do is guard and protect her."
"Protect her always." Was the last thing he said before continuing into the woods after the others, his long red cloak disappearing around the corner.
"And I'll always do that no matter what." He muttered to himself, reassured that Yuna wasn't doing this because she loved Seymour; it was because she had to. Besides me and her would never be able to… Nah.
Tidus kept walking and they all came into site sitting around the entrance to the Woods, waiting for him. Deciding he would just hide behind the cheerful and excited self he normally was, he smiled at them all as best he could. And to his surprise he saw all nearly all their faces light up, like he was giving a prep talk or something, like he was the group's energy and life.
"Common, let's go guys" he stated punching the air.
They obeyed, looking a little relieved. After they had all disappeared swiftly into the trees, he let his face drop one final time. He brought his hands up to his temples and he frowned as he rubbed them, in slow circling motions. He sighed heavily and next second resumed his happy and full of life face. The only thing he didn't notice was the dark silhouette of a certain figure that had looked back for him, and concern was clearly imprinted onto her features as she saw him turn glum, quickly turning away Yuna continued on slowly waiting for him to catch up. Tidus did so and saw she looked preoccupied and worried, but mistook this for one of her many troubles that she did not discuss with her companions these days. He sighed once more and trudged on once more, hoping everything was going to turn out fine in his story.
