Chapter 1prologue.

My name is Rachel Carpenter and the story you are about to hear may shock or scare you. Have you ever heard of witches? Or ghosts? Or even The Grim Reaper? Well this is where it begins. It all started on All Hallows Eve 1856 a girl was being dragged by her hair through angry villagers. Her name was Scarlett Evans. She was a white witch and had been taught to do white magic by her mother Cecilia. Unfortunately an enemy of her mother and of the coven knew of her powers so she sent the villagers after her and she was burned at the stake. But not before her mother promised Scarlett's soul would be reborn. Outraged the dark witch Katherine summoned a demon called the Grim Reaper to find and take reborn Scarlett's soul. However, Cecilia seemed to be expecting this so she remembered an old friend or actually two old friends of hers. Eleanor Lovett and Benjamin Barker who is now known as Sweeney Todd. They could protect Scarlett's reborn soul. This is my tale. This is the tale of how I met Sweeney Todd and Eleanor Lovett.
