The song's original melody is for the 'Vision of Escaflowne' movie ending-credits theme, "You're not Alone." I rewrote the lyrics so they reflected some of the themes in Gainax' 'Secret of Blue Water' TV series (which is, I'm convinced, the original inspiration for Disney's "Atlantis" movie-- once again, the mouse corporation has successfully stolen a great idea from a japanese animated work).
