Star wasn't quite sure how she'd gotten Marco to go with her to this earth coffee place called 'Starbucks' as he seemed to think it was ridiculous, but Star really wanted to drink this coffee drink called a pumpkin spice latte, like she'd had her first year on earth.

Star managed to order one of them on her way in, and found a table where they could sit.

Marco, as expected, walked in after her, and ordered a drink of his own, a hot one, Star could tell, because of the paper cup similar to the one in her hands.

Marco took a seat across from Star, and began sipping his drink.

"What did ya get, Marco?" Star said, cheerful as ever.

"Coffee, duh," Marco grinned. And Star grinned back, like she always did.

"She's so pretty," Marco thought, "woah, where did that come from?" he pushed it to the back of his mind.

"No, silly," Star giggled, interrupting Marco's thoughts, "what kind of coffee?"

"Just coffee," Marco shrugged, taking a sip.

Star grabbed his cup from his hand mid-sip, and slurped it loudly, attracting a few gazes, "oh my gosh! Marco! How do you drink this? It tastes like death!"

Marco huffed, "it doesn't matter, really, it's caffeine, and I think it tastes pretty good."

"You poor, poor soul," Star said dramatically, "try mine, you'll never be the same!"

Marco grimaced, "that overly sweet hot pumpkin coffee thing? No way! I'll stick to my plain coffee."

Star sniffed in annoyance.

The two sat in silence as Star contemplated how to get Marco to try her drink. Then she smirked.

"Heyy, Marco," Star said, "you've got some coffee on your face…"

Marco raised an eyebrow, "I do?"

"Yeah, let me get that for you," Star smirked, grabbing a napkin and leaning over to Marco.

"Oh god, what's happening?" Marco thought, slightly concerned.

Star leaned in, and wiped Marco's face with the napkin.

Marco spluttered.

"What's wrong?" Star smirked, aligning her face with Marco's, "scared?"

"Oh what the hell," Marco thought as he threw caution to the wind, closing the gap with a kiss.

Star closed her eyes and kissed back.

Marco sort of regretted his decision, how the hell was Star such a good kisser?! This was a bit shocking to Marco, and he tried not to gasp as they pulled apart.

He failed.

Star giggled as a blush rose to Marco's cheeks, "you like pumpkin spice lattes now?"

"I- uh-" Marco stuttered.

Star grimaced as she licked her lips, "yuck, death coffee."
