This little plot-bunny attacked in the middle of a roleplay and just wouldn't leave me alone. So here we are? Hopefully it amuses you as much as it did me :P

General Disclaimer (for the entire story): DGM is Hoshino-sensei's, not mine (but don't I wish).

"Ne, Tyki. Practice makes perf-...a little bit better than before. Right?"

Trust him when he says that the Noah transformation is painful. In a great deal of ways, the most traumatic of which (after you get over the 'I have bleeding crosses on my forehead' part) includes the accidental misuse of powers.

For most kids growing up, making mistakes means something along the lines of scrapes, scratches, or loud tantrums. Small setbacks. When you're a newly awakened Noah on the other hand, things escalate quickly. Very quickly. Like 'oops, I accidentally massacred a town of people' quickly, if you're lucky. If your name is Tyki though, you are very rarely lucky.

Unintentional homicides aside (he can deal with those easily enough), losing control in the middle of (an attempt at) phasing through a wall is very not okay. Neither is waking up to find that he is, quite literally, stuck in his bed.

And sometimes, Tyki really, really hates his family. Because obviously, all of the members find these occurrences devilishly funny (which makes sense, considering their patriarch may actually be the devil, but that's an argument for another time). Like 'rolling on the ground in hysterics while taking pictures for future blackmail' funny. Or 'laughing so hard they cry while conveniently forgetting to help the poor soul out from whatever object he's had the misfortune of getting very intimately acquainted with' funny.

No, Tyki's not bitter about that at all. (He also denies very nearly sobbing in relief after learning enough control to extract himself fast enough not to attract a crowd.)
