She had pulled out her favorite outfit to go and get this 'dream job' of hers, which sounded perfect when her eyes landed on the ad.
Her education certainly qualified her for the job, it was her people skills she'd been working on ... sometimes her enthusiasm got a tad loud.
The trouble started at the front desk when she arrived for her interview, being ten minutes early. Everyone on monitors couldn't believe their eyes at the sight before them.
Her hair had caused her the most trouble so she said, "Screw it," and put it up in her usual style. Using her black kohl pencil she drew attention to her beautiful eyes, right along with her red lipstick, lips that gave off the sign of wanting to be kissed.
Fastening her precious gift around her neck, it was thought to bring her good luck and this job was right up her alley, she was then ready to go.
"Excuse me, I have an appointment at ten o'clock with ...," Digging around her 'interview' bag she pulled out a card and handed it to the desk jockey. Not used to carrying a bag at all, some of the contents just about fell out all onto the floor. Notebooks. Pens. 'It's a good thing my house is organized at least,' she thought to herself. Luckily, she caught that mistake all the while thinking to herself, 'way to go' almost wanting to wave to the camera's all over the place.

The phone beeped somewhere deep in the building, getting the attention of the much overworked employee.
No.
That was not a justified description.
A much coveted employee who received numerous job offers every month.
Hitting the intercom button, impatiently he asked, "Yes, what is it now?"
Hearing that his appointment had arrived, and checking the time himself, he realized for once 'someone cared about the time around here'.
"I'll be up to get the applicant, and thank you for advising me of their arrival."
"No problem, sir."

Employees were intently watching the newest possible employee on the plasma screen a few floors up. To say they were stunned and surprised was an understatement.
"Who is THAT?"
"Come on Boss. Tell me we're hiring her."
"Not us. If you remember correctly, there's an ad out in certain journals for a person with particular skills to enhance our division."
Just then the elevator dinged and out walked ...

"Ms. Sciuto, I presume?"
Turning around, Abby instantly fell in love with the timbre of the voice, not even having to see his face. When she did, she recognized one the best forensic specialists in the world of science.
Holding out her hand, Abby said, "Nice to meet you, Dr. Mallard."
"Why don't you call me Ducky? Everyone else does around here."
"Only if you call me Abby."
"But," Abby said, "I haven't been hired."
"Certainly, my dear. You have now. You do know I've been reading your papers which you, yourself have had published in the medical and science journals. You are a marvel! And someone I'm looking forward to working with. Perhaps we could get to know each other over tea this evening?"
"That sounds lovely, Ducky."
"I'd love to know the story of your black studded dog collar you're wearing my dear."
Offering Abby his arm, the couple adjourned to the elevator heading downstairs. Giving his fellow employees a wink of the eye, Gibbs smiled and barked, "Back to work!"
