"Ziva!" He tried to stop the elevators but, dammit, if she really wanted to avoid him…no, he'd catch up to her. He had to.

He ran to the stairs not caring about his labored breathing nor how much strain he was putting on his legs. He can't let her leave. Not now, not again, not ever.

"Ziva!" He wheezed. "Hey! David! Ziva! Probie! AGENT DAVID!" He grabbed her elbow, immediately stopping her from grabbing her things.

"What is it that you want from me Tony?" She said, exasperation evident in her voice. Why is she is the one mad here?

"Hey! I'm not the one who suddenly wants to quit NCIS!" He all but shouted, thankful that it was almost morning and the bullpen was empty. "After all the effort, cutting ties with your dad, becoming an American citizen and you suddenly quit?! Why Ziva?"

He was pleading now. She can't quit. Where was she going? Certainly not Mossad. Why did Gibbs allow her…to leave all of a sudden? He felt betrayed by Gibbs, by Ziva.

She breathed. He could see tears in her eyes but after a few blinks they were gone. She breathed deeply. "It is not your business, Tony"

His grip tightened. Not his business? NOT HIS BUSINESS? How dare she- "the hell it is."

"Let go of me"

His chest tightened.

"I won't let go of you" He said looking directly in her eyes. "Is it because of me?"

She tried to pull her arm away but as he said, he'll never let her go. Never. "I could kill you Tony"

"answer me"

She pushed him. Everything was written on her face. Anger, frustration, guilt, disappointment, sadness…fear.

"Not everything is about you!" She screamed, pushing the things on her desk until they fell to the floor. He hated seeing her like this. Confused and vulnerable. She dropped herself on her chair looking very much like a scared teenager not a trained assassin. His looked softened. "then tell me"

"Paris" she sniffled.

He tensed. What about Paris? "Did Vance find out-"

"No, Tony!" she stood up again, fist clenching at her sides.

"Then what-"

"I'm pregnant!"
