Cherubi's and Lila's First Contest Together
'Let's have ourselves a great contest,' Lila whispered, kissing the seal of her poke ball softly.
They were a new pair, but she had no doubt they'd be just as great a one as she and Skitty were.
'Now introducing the Tiger Lily of Solaceon Town…Lila!'
'That's our cue,' she announced, throwing the poke ball. 'Cherubi, out you come!'
The cherry pokemon appeared showered in glitter.
'Use Sunny Day!'
Cherubi closed his eyes and called out to the sun, causing the glitter falling about him to shine even further.
The MC was commenting, but Lila shut that out. What mattered, after all, was her timing with her Pokemon and his performance.
'Now use Magical Leaf!' she cried into the fading glitter.
The spinning leaves caught the rest of the light, artistically controlled as they danced around and Cherubi on the stage. They followed him, a spiral of glittering lights as he skipped about.
'Now, shower yourself in the dance, and use Grass Knot!'
Little roots rose from the stage, giving it a third dimension, and some height. Cherubi dodged and jumped and twisted around, those leaves following him all the while, covering the stage while drawing the centre for the final act…
He found the place, and her partner called out the final move: 'Solar Beam!'
The high energy beam shot through the dancing leaves and left the sparks raining down on the final pose of coordinator and Pokemon. Cherubi landed on his partner's shoulders, and she brought out her trademark words and smile.
'And there you have it folks, the famous Tiger Lily smile to wrap up that wonderful performance!'
