Disclaimer: I do not own Pokémon, no matter how much I would pay for it.
I was walking down the street, just taking a walk around the block. The autumn air was crisp and fresh, just like autumn was supposed to be. I came across a giant pile of leaves, and flung myself into it. Orange leaves flew around everywhere, and I giggled like a maniac. Ah, this was life. So, I got back up, and fell front-first on pavement, sending more leaves flying. I heard something rolling behind me, and after a few moments of pain, I got up to look for it. I saw a tiny sphere on the sidewalk rolling into the street. I leaned over to pick it up, and twisted it around in my fingers. It was a small metallic sphere, split in half by a thick black line through it's equator. The top half was red, the bottom blue. I turned it around and noticed a white button in the center of the ball.
"Huh, that's weird," I thought out loud, "It looks like a Pokéball." I tapped the button with my finger, and it grew about twice it's original size. Of course, I dropped it. I picked it up again and the epiphany struck. This was a frickin Pokémon. I had to know which Pokémon was inside of it. In the street, I threw the ball in the air, yelling, "GO, POKéMON!" The ball fell back down on the ground. Nothing came out. "What the hell?" I snatched up the Pokéball and threw it up in the air. It hit the ground again, but this time on it's button. It shot out a white beam of light and flew backwards. I don't know how I caught it, but I guess my hand was just right there. The beam formed the shape, and darkened to reveal the creature.
It was an orange sphere with spikes. A yellow crown thing adorned it's head, which had a dark orange point pattern coming from it, as well as two sets of dark orange spikes on the side of it's head, the closer to the crown being bigger. It had seven holes on it's surface, two of which were eyeholes, and the remaining five formed a smile-like mouth. It's two rounded arms each toted four dark orange spikes, oddly like fingers and a thumb. It stood on two stubby spikes. It had a large dark orange diamond below it's mouthholes, and two lines beside it, and two more diamonds. It was essentially an orange walking cactus. It happily cheered, "CACNEA!"
I was standing there dumbly, my mouth hanging open wide enough to dislocate my jaw. There was a Cacnea standing in the street, and a shiny one at that. The sparkles coming from it were dazzling in the autumn some. I shut my mouth and admired the first actual Pokémon that existed. I was wondering what I was going to do with it and HOLY SHIT A CAR. I leaped at the unsuspecting creature and tackled it right in time. The car rushed past as I laid in the street for a second. Scratch that, a millisecond. I immediately leaped backwards screaming in pain. Well, I had a good reason to do that, there were spikes all over my face. From tackling the Pokémon face-first. That tends to hurt a lot. After wiping off the spikes from my face, I gazed at the Cacnea. It was eying me up admirably. I just saved it from being cactus juice, so it would be grateful. It raised it's abnormally long arms up to me, just begging for a hug. "Oh, what the hell?" I said as I picked up the plant carefully. It was a little heavy, but I managed to give it a good bear hug. Knowing that it would sting, it hugged back gently. "So," I started, "What am I gonna call ya?" It yelped, "CACNEA!" "Pumpkin Pie it is, then!" I triumphantly shouted. I put it back down to get it's Pokéball. The top half blew off with a clunk. I shot a glance at Pumpkin, who blew the end of it's arm as a new spike popped out. "Good Pin Missile," I managed to mumble in shock. Pumpkin giggled..
