My first true fanfic. When you review, please be gentle. Also, the battles work differently in here than in the games and so do some evolutions. Oh, and the Pokémon leagues all happen at different times for each region.
The Journey Begins With One Step,
And One Pokémon
It was a nice quite morning in twinleaf town. A teenager of great importance to this story was fast asleep, slightly snoring, dreaming nice little dreams. Then...
"CLINT! WAKE UP!" A blonde haired boy rushed into the room screaming, causing Clint to fall out of bed.
"Barry, what are you..."
"QUICK, TURN ON THE TV!"
Clint (still not fully awake) reached for the remote and turned on the TV in his room. There was a click sound followed by a buzz when...
"...this is Sarah Baker, reporting live. Pokémon trainers new and old should be glad to hear that the Sinnoh Pokémon league is ready to be under way. Gyms are now set to be challenged and Pokémon researchers and breeders are ready to give you starters. New trainers are to go to the nearest Pokémon lab or breeder to get their starter, and the Pokémon you get to choose from depend on where you live."
After hearing all that Clint woke right up and widened his eyes with excitement. He was finally going to be a Pokémon trainer! Last time the Sinnoh league was on he was one year to young. That was six years ago, so now he was excited to go out and catch'em all. Though not as excited as Barry.
"YEAH YEAH YEAH! LETS GET OUR POKEMON RIGHT NOW!" said the blonde teen screamed. He ran out of the house faster than you could have said... anything really. Clint turned off the TV, changed into his street clothes (the same on from the games), and walked downstairs for breakfast.
"Barry just ran in and out faster than ever before, and that's saying something," Clint's mother said as she was cooking, "care to explain why?"
"The Pokémon league started today," Clint explained
"Oh that's wonderful. I know how sad you were when you realised that you had to wait another six years before you could get a Pokémon, and now you finally can," she said, pulling her son into an embrace.
Clint ate breakfast, got his things ready, and finally said goodbye to his mother. He decided that before he was going to go to Sandgem town for a Pokémon, he should go to Barry's house to see if
a) Barry was still there making sure he wouldn't forget something or
b) Barry left and forgot something.
Knowing his best friend, those were the only possibilities.
That's chapter one. I am still a beginner in the world of writing and I will definitely change it later, but this should help get the ball rolling. Please review and help me out because I have no idea what I'm doing.
