Chuck and Blair sleep face to face.

Face to face isn't the only way they sleep of course. Often times, even after making love for hours on end, they want to be as close as possible. This usually means that both are completely in the flesh, with the front of his body forming to the back of hers, with limbs, and arms, and even their souls intertwined and closer than he ever thought he could be to another person. Especially closer than he ever thought another person would want to be to him.

And then there are the times when he is upset about his dead father, a business deal gone wrong, or his lack of any real family, and she will sneak into bed and take him completely in her arms, spooning her body against his. And just for a nanosecond, he feels like he should be the strong one, he should be the one holding her tight like the man should do. But then he realizes just how perfect she feels pressed into him, cheek resting on the back of his neck, trailing kisses behind his earlobe. He always realizes that despite his initial resistance, he is more than okay with that position.

But his favorite position, the one he never thought he'd like, is sleeping face to face. Once in awhile, when he comes in after a long day at work, she is already sleeping, curled up like the beautiful angel that she is in the middle of their shared bed. She usually has the lights on and TV blaring: sure signs that she was waiting up for him. He'll take off his stuffy suit, jump into bed, wrap her tight into his arms and pepper her face, neck, chest, and any bare expanse of her soft, creamy, skin, with kisses until she rouses from her sleep. She is always happy to see him, and they exchange the details of their days, random musings and 'I love you's' as they look deep into each other's eyes. These exchanges never last long, as she usually drifts back into sleep, and he'll follow shortly after, still staring at her perfect face.

His favorite part of that position, however, is waking up the next morning. When he opens his eyes before she does, he is always overjoyed that her face is the first thing he sees. He'll stare at her for a while, watching her sleep. Sometimes it seconds, sometimes its minutes, and sometimes it feels like days but he knows it really isn't. It's so easy to lose track of time when he's lost in her beauty. Eventually he decides to wake her up so they can move on to doing what they do best. In a romance as passionate and fiery as theirs, they never can resist each other for long.

Chuck and Blair sleep face to face. And Chuck Bass has never been more in love.
